Took a one-and-a-quarter-length success at Redcar three starts back and was poorly positioned in a race run at a strong pace from the front last time — that sixth is best set aside. First-time blinkers added today and effective at 5f on fast and soft ground, Beerwah is our top-rated runner; form has been patchy of late and the rating looks demanding, but the equipment change could sharpen the picture.

Below his best in recent outings — beaten five and a half lengths at Redcar last time — Sergeant Mayer's mark has been easing as a result, which offers some potential upside. Effective 5-6f on good to soft and fast ground, and first-time headgear (p) may help; without a win in recent starts and form hard to trust, though a better mark could tempt.

Took a half-length success at Catterick three starts back off a 2lb lower mark and ran to that level again when a short-head second most recently — same mark applies today with first-time headgear (tb) added. Irish Dancer is generally consistent at 5f on a range of surfaces; the mark looks high enough, but with recent placed efforts this is a leading danger to our selection.

Met trouble in running and left with too much to do at Thirsk last time, beaten just one and a quarter lengths — a performance that should be marked up given the interference. Effective at 5f on a sound surface and a considerable way below her last winning mark, Invincible Crown has a chance if she gets a clear run; trainer cold at present, which is worth noting.
