Forged clear in a Southwell maiden (7f, Tapeta) towards the end of last year but he was disappointing on handicap debut at Wetherby (7f, good to firm; 4-1) in April; has bit to prove again after that 8l defeat and his standout form was on his sole AW run.

Well-bred colt who is closely related to 7f 2yo/1m Group 3 winner Skardu (RPR 114); left his initial form well behind when runner-up here (6f, heavy) in November and he found more improvement with an emphatic win on his Kempton reappearance (6f, AW) last month; now goes back up in trip but he looks a useful prospect and is a big player for in-form yard.

Had three runs in France as a 2yo and he won at La Teste De Buch (9.5f, heavy) on his second start; changed hands for 40,000gns in October; returns after 223 days off but he has a striking pedigree and needs watching in market on handicap/stable debut.

Beat one who is now on a mark of 95 off level weights at Southwell last October (7f); blotted his copybook by playing up before breaking out of the stalls on intended seasonal/handicap debut in 1m contest at Ascot last month; looked more relaxed at Kempton last week but he never got involved from a wide draw; still early days but he needs to raise his game back on turf.
