Thelma Horne Memorial Apprentice Handicap

Won on good and soft ground as a 2yo; nearly added a Newmarket 1m handicap during a light second season and fast ground (for which she's been withdrawn before) was perhaps not ideal when down the field 13 days ago; better expected.

Both wins have been at Chelmsford over 1m2f; capable of winning on turf and had Silca Bay behind when going close at Salisbury last time (1m, good; effective on soft); more solid than most in here.

Left Karl Burke after winning an AW seller in February (1m); nearer last than first in two 1m handicaps for current yard.

All three wins for Alice Haynes were on ground slower than good; had lost her way but the signs have been a tad more encouraging for James Owen and she's on a dangerous mark.

He's 2-5 for this yard, the wins over 1m on good to soft and good to firm; a slow start was no help last time at Thirsk but he might be high in the weights now.
