FBC Manby Bowdler Mares' Handicap Chase (Arc Summer Chase Series Qualifier) (GBB Race)

1-6 over fences; returned to form of late and although a beaten favourite when runner-up at Fakenham (2m5f, good) last month, that was still a creditable effort; tongue-tie now added; the one to beat.

Showed promise in maiden/novice hurdles before running respectably when third on handicap debut at Huntingdon (2m4f, good) in March; finished weakly over a slightly longer trip at Newton Abbot (2m5f, good) the following month but has since undergone wind surgery; now switches to fences from what looks a workable mark (eased 2lb) and commands respect.

Irish raider; 13-race maiden whose best effort came over hurdles when a close second at Tramore (2m5f, good) last August, but three attempts over fences have seen her pulled up twice and tailed off once; Sean Bowen booked and, while a return to better ground and handicap company may help, she still has plenty to prove.

Well-bred mare; kept on for a respectable third on handicap hurdle debut at Newton Abbot (2m1f, good) last month and shaped reasonably well on chase debut at Stratford (2m1f, good to firm) where she jumped soundly; pedigree suggests this longer trip should suit and a first-time hood may also eke out a little more, now eased 2lb.
