Family Extravaganza Raceday On Sunday 5th July Mares' Handicap Hurdle

Dual 2m3f hurdle winner on good ground; pulled up on soft at end of last year but returned from a break with a quite encouraging fifth of 12 at Warwick (2m5f, good) this month and enters calculations here.

Capitalised upon some considerable help from the handicapper when winning over C&D (good) just under a year ago and returns here after a decent effort at Kelso this month, but she's nothing like the force of old and has become inconsistent.

Didn't run badly when fifth of eight at Kelso (2m5f, good) three weeks ago and continues to slip down the weights but has modest 2-21 strike-rate over hurdles; others appeal more.

Last of four when upped to 2m7f for last month's handicap debut and only eighth of ten (behind Lone Star) when dropped back to 2m5f at Kelso three weeks ago; not beaten far in either of those races but needs to up her game; usual hood is left off.

2-5 for new stable this year; gained the wins on heavy and good to soft ground but coped perfectly well with good ground when close third at Kelso (2m5f; first-time tongue-tie) last month; hood (worn for three of her last four races) is discarded; likely contender again.
