McGrath Limestone Works Handicap Hurdle

Bought for 40,000euros after winning a French hurdle on very soft in October 2024; decent effort to take second at Wexford last month (2m, soft), given it came after a 519-day absence at 11-1; that could set him up nicely for this.

One of two for trainer; C&D maiden hurdle winner on this card last year (good); mixed hurdles and the Flat with no success since and was soundly beaten on handicap debut at Down Royal when last seen in November; dropped 2lb and Kennedy picks him over Miss Manzor, but others appeal more.

Dual Flat winner had back-to-back successes over hurdles in 2024, in a C&D maiden hurdle (yielding to soft) and a Listed handicap at Listowel off 116 (2m, soft); unseen since finishing a 3l third at Listowel in June (2m, good); chance if ready, but it's a long layoff.

Won a Killarney novice hurdle and second (beaten 7.5l) in a Down Royal handicap, both over 2m1f on yielding ground last autumn; may come on from his first run back at Cork earlier this month when weakened into tenth.

One of two for trainer; Flat/hurdles winner in France won over hurdles in 2024 for Willie Mullins and some good runs in defeat afterwards; moderate chase runs and was tailed off in a Curragh handicap when last seen in May; makes stable debut now and is stable second string.
