Won at Chelmsford (1m2f, AW) last spring but he's struggled in his last eight starts including over hurdles in last two runs; now 10lb lower than for his last success but he needs a big turnaround for new yard (has changed hands and left Mike Smith); hood removed and cheekpieces return.

His last win was in July 2022 but he returned to the Flat for new yard with a front-running third at Pontefract (1m2f, good; tongue-tie added) two weeks ago; that was an encouraging effort after a break and he has possibilities if he can build on that.

Form figures of 323 in maiden/novice events but he's been well held in four handicaps; may have had stamina issues over 2m at Lingfield (AW) last month but he needs to raise his game on this big drop back in trip.

Won on handicap debut at Musselburgh (1m1f, good) last April but he's 0-9 since and has been well held in four runs this year; now 10lb lower than for his win but he weakened quickly at Nottingham three weeks ago and others are preferred; cheekpieces (tried once last year) are reapplied.

Record of 6-54 and his last win was at Kempton (1m4f) in January; hasn't posed a serious threat in two runs for current yard but he's had traffic issues on both occasions and was beaten less than 2l at Southwell (1m3f) last time; on same mark here and he's a big player if things go more to plan.
