William Hill Price Boosts Every Day Handicap

Bolted up on his stable debut at Southwell in March (6f); dropped to 5f for his last two starts, picked off late at Catterick (good ground) before a ready win on the AW track here nine days ago; another 7lb higher mark to contend with but unlikely he has reached his ceiling just yet.

The winner of three 5f handicaps for Ian Williams last season, the latest off just 1lb lower; never a threat on his seasonal return 12 days ago (6f, AW) but he kept on well enough given he took a fierce hold through the early part of the race; better expected back at 5f and with the reappearance run behind him.

Nine wins on the AW but just 1-28 on turf; fit from a productive winter campaign but he's drawn on the outside and others are more appealing.

Into the veteran stage but he retains plenty of dash, setting a good pace at Catterick 17 days ago before weakening into third (Tuscan Point second but 8lb worse off today); likely to make a beeline for the stands' rail and more minor money could be on the cards.

Turned in an excellent effort when winning the corresponding race from stall 1 (14 ran) last May, flying out of the stalls and able to get to the stands' rail after one furlong; also won at Ffos Las in July and both victories were achieved off a higher mark than today's; not at best last time but his reappearance had been encouraging; should make a bold bid.
