William Hill Epic Boosts Handicap (GBBPlus Race)

Lightly raced, progressive 5yo; made all for narrow win at Newbury (7f) last June and shaped encouragingly upped to 1m2f back there (also good), racing freely but keeping on well from a poor draw on reappearance three weeks ago; retains plenty of potential.

Consistent for William Haggas and he made all to land Leicester novice (1m2f, good to firm) in July; signed off for that yard with creditable third of 19 at York (10.5f, good; not clear run) off this mark in October; secured for 140,000gns a fortnight later and subsequently gelded; a player on stable debut/reappearance.

Improved once returned to AW and bagged a hat-trick across October and December (1m); on the scoresheet again upped to 9.5f at Wolverhampton (career-best form) in February; form took a slight dip on last two starts, while his earlier turf form isn't comparable so interesting to see how he fares back on grass.

Three-time winner at 1m2f (good to firm) although that was back in 2022/23 and his last success came over 1m6f at Sandown in July; tailed off on final start last term and two runs (1m4f) this season contained little encouragement.
