Boodles Raindance Dee Stakes (Listed Race) (Colts & Geldings)

Dante and Derby entry; brother to 1m2f and 14.5f (Group 2) winner Nakheel (RPR 110); won at York (1m, good) on his second start as 2yo and followed up in clearcut style in a seven-runner Listed race at Newmarket (1m1f, good) three weeks ago; has one of the two best chances on form and he's on his way up.

Dante entry; progressive with 3-4 record in Britain last season, ending with a Listed win from the front at Pontefract (1m, soft); however, beaten a long way in Saudi Arabia this February and although back near his 2yo form in Listed race at Newmarket (1m1f, good; disputed lead 2f out) three weeks ago, that was good enough for only fifth of seven to Morshdi; major work to do.

Group 1 entry at 1m, 1m2f and 1m4f; by Wootton Bassett out of unplaced sister to 1m4f/1m6f Group 1 winner Wonderful Tonight; short-headed at Newmarket before making all when odds-in in both a Galway maiden (7f, yielding) last July and five-runner Group 2 at the Curragh (7f, good) last August; both wins came with authority and the pedigree is encouraging for 1m2f; his enthusiasm for getting on with it last year raises more of a question but the 1m2f French Derby has been mentioned by his trainer as an objective.

Group 1 entry at 1m, 1m2f and 1m4f, as is his stablemate Constitution River (also by Wootton Bassett); can't match his form, having won on debut but come up short in three Group 3s over 6.5f to just over 7f; joint favourite at Leopardstown (7f, good to yielding) on reappearance but slowly away and never showed with any chance; it's possible that 1m2f will see him in a different light but Constitution River looks the stable first string.

By Kameko out of 1m2f winner (77) with Group performers in family; led over 1f out when pipped in a Kempton maiden (1m, AW) in March but a win never seemed in doubt when he made virtually all in Yarmouth novice (1m, good) 17 days later; looks promising for 1m2f but this race is much more demanding.
