Ballylinch Stud Red Rocks Stakes (Group 3) (Colts & Geldings)

Won the first juvenile race of 2025; then third in a 5f Listed race; second to Albert Einstein in the 6f Marble Hill; fifth of 20 in the Coventry; well held in third behind True Love in the Railway Stakes; reversed form with the filly (finished slightly lame) to win the Phoenix Stakes under a positive ride; pedigree suggests he can stay 7f, ground should not be a problem.

Ran well in Group 2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood; sacrificed in pacemaking role in the National Stakes (Curragh); beat 29 rivals to land the Goffs Million; followed that up with a front-running C&D Group 3 win in the Killavullan Stakes; talented apprentice is 2-2 on the Wootton Bassett colt who is effective on soft ground.

Overcame inexperience to make a winning debut over 6f at the Curragh; did not look entirely straightforward (hung right) when beaten by a filly, Suzie Songs, in the Anglesey Stakes; doubts raised by 6l Group 3 defeat over C&D in July; however, Ryan Moore sticks with him in apparent preference to the higher-rated Dorset.

Long-priced Curragh maiden winner on debut last August; subsequently form ties in with smart Ballydoyle colts Constitution River and Hawk Mountain; Beresford Stakes second was advertised by Hawk Mountain in winning the William Hill Futurity; tongue-tie on now.

Wootton Bassett colt; no match for a Ballydoyle favourite at the Curragh (7f, soft to heavy) last October; had plenty in reserve when winning a Dundalk later that month; can win more races this term; this may prove too demanding on return.
