Mostly campaigned in competitive staying chases when with Gordon Elliott and did not accomplish much this season; £3,000 buy in February but fell mid-race here 11 days ago on debut for new yard; cheekpieces (tried once) return; major questions to answer.

Stays thoroughly, having won the Lincolnshire National at Market Rasen (3m4f) on Boxing Day and performed well in the Eider at Newcastle (4m1f) in February; perhaps his heavy defeat over 3m on latest start can therefore be forgiven, particularly as he was hampered early on; considered back at 3m4f.

The furthest he's been was 3m2f when he rallied to win from Red Delta in a small field at Doncaster (soft; made most) in November; something amiss next time but he was back on song for second at Carlisle (3m, good to soft; probably effective on good) on latest outing, making it good runs on both his starts in cheekpieces; up 2lb but needs a close look.

Won bumper and maiden hurdle when on good ground; scored at Ffos Las (3m1f, soft) in October and runner-up in four of his other six chases, including when mown down late on in a big field at Windsor (extended 3m4f, soft) in January; ran poorly over C&D next time and well beaten at Cheltenham Festival on latest but both those races were much warmer than this.
