O'Driscoll's Irish Whiskey Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 2)

Twice runner-up in France; well on top late on to win his maiden here (heavy) and it was no great surprise to see him struggle in the Fred Winter off what looked a tough opening mark (good to soft; 28-1); others have superior form.

Consistent Flat horse in France; had the Fred Winter winner Saratoga back in third when winning his maiden at Naas (first-time hood; heavy) and unwise to read too much into his no-show in the Triumph (33-1) as he lost his position after mid-race interference; remains capable of better.

Easy winner of his only hurdle run in France; inexperience evident when chasing home Proactif here in January (yielding; finished his race off well); only 12-1 for the Triumph and yet all hopes went west with a bad mid-race blunder after which he was pulled up; remains very promising.

Earned a modest mark on the Flat; promising to do better over hurdles as he bumped into useful opposition before winning his maiden on heavy ground at Gowran when tongue tied for the first time; this demands plenty more, however.

French bumper winner; weak in the betting when a remote fifth on his hurdle/stable debut but then odds-on when coming home 13l to the good at Navan (2m, heavy); raised in grade here but considered a chaser in the making and clearly open to vast improvement.
