William Hill NRMB On The Grand National Apprentice Handicap (Go Racing In Yorkshire Series) (Div II)

Multiple Flat wins at 1m-1m4f, including on heavy; unable to make a significant impact on the Flat last autumn but he's run with credit over hurdles in recent months and is well treated back on the level (6lb below his last winning mark); considered.

Ploughed through the mud to get off the mark at Goodwood (1m2f) last September but failed to reproduce that level, despite reaching the frame, on his final two outings; been off for five months.

C&D winner (also good second on his other visit) who got his head back in front at Newcastle (1m2f) last month; too keen in a steadily run race back there since and worth treating as if still in form; the draw could have been kinder but still has a lot more going for him than most.

Third in this race last year and won over 1m2f (twice, including on soft) and 1m3f in a productive spell last summer; the final win came off this mark so he's a player if ready to roll on reappearance.

Emerged from off the pace to be second in smallish fields over 1m4f here (good/good to firm) last summer, her first two handicaps; absent since finishing tailed off over 2m on AW in July but the first of those runner-up efforts here came off a six-month break so she's evidently capable when fresh; not discounted.
