The going is Good.
Much better chaser than hurdler, winning Class 5s at Catterick (3m1f) and Wetherby (3m; again on soft); wouldn't have beaten the winner in a Class 3 at Bangor even had he not clouted the last fence but that was still a fine run; 2lb rise is a bit mean given he was beaten 10l.

Well beaten over a marathon trip last time but looked as good as ever when winning at Doncaster (3m, soft) two starts ago; must have a chance in first-time cheekpieces, though may not be favoured by the drying ground.
Went up 5lb for beating an exposed rival at Southwell (2m4f, soft; fine on good to soft) but he still ran well in a Class 3 at Newbury (2m6f) that didn't go entirely like clockwork; he could yet raise his bar higher; much respected.
Back-to-back wins over similar trips to this last September and on good or yielding ground that he's not had in his last four races; however, current wellbeing is an issue and so too the blinkers in which he was tailed off last time when first fitted.
