British EBF Gold Castle 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle (Listed Race) (GBB Race)

Won Grade 2 novice hurdle at Limerick (2m7f, heavy) in December and 8l second in Grade 1 at Leopardstown (2m6f, heavy) in February; pulled up at 25-1 in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham (3m, soft) last month but back in calmer waters today and he's one to be interested in given his previous promise.

Left December's debut run (2m5f, good to soft) well behind to win in good style at Southwell (2m4f, soft) in February; faces a much higher calibre of opponent today but he could have lots more to offer for his top trainer.

Made it 3-3 over hurdles (2m5f/2m4f, soft/good) in ready fashion in the Grade 1 Challow at Newbury in December; very disappointing favourite in the Turners at the Cheltenham Festival, even allowing for what went wrong at the start, but he's the one to beat today if back to his best; promises to be suited by the step up in trip (dam won 3m French Grade 1).

5yo who has raced four times, all over hurdles, and he was winning for a second time when powering clear in a big-field handicap at Fairyhouse (3m, yielding to soft) this month; today is a tougher test of his credentials but he was impressive last time and could be up to the task.

Point winner who is 2-2 over hurdles following novice wins at Warwick (2m5f, soft) and Wincanton (2m5f, good); others have more substance to their form but he did it easily last time and it remains to be seen where his limitations lie.
