Won at Southwell for Mick Appleby in December and he made it 2-4 in cheekpieces with a dominant display at Wolverhampton (6f, AW) last week; record of 0-7 on turf but he ran well in big-field handicap at York last summer and he's a major player if he can transfer his progress back to this sphere; respected under a penalty.

Record on the AW reads 1211 and he was impressive when making virtually all over 6f here eight days ago; 5lb penalty and return to 5f shouldn't preclude another big performance.

Two wins and two runner-up finishes from five visits here, but not at his best in his recent completed starts; others make greater appeal.

Lightly raced gelding whose sole win came at Chelmsford (5f, Polytrack; first-time tongue-tie) in August 2024; was entitled to need the run after 19 months off at Newcastle (5f, Tapeta) three weeks ago and a hood is now given a go, but others looks more solid.

Made it 2-2 over C&D when scraping home last month; up 2lb, but that latest run came after 79 days off so he could be a bit sharper for it; high on list.
