The going is Soft.
No specific going preferences noted for the runners.
0-3 in bumpers and 0-4 over hurdles, but has some respectable form and wasn't himself at Sedgefield last time when held at his point of departure; had a break since Christmas and can go well if back on song.
Has been running well for a long way before weakening in maidens over 2m3f and 2m5f (tongue tied in final run); could have a better run in him after wind surgery and he's of definite interest.
A good run to be fourth on yielding ground in a 2m1f maiden at Down Royal in December and when below that level here two months ago he was sent over 2m4f (on soft); connections presumably not fazed by today's ground and, returned to shorter, he shouldn't be far away.
By some way it was his best performance yet when the only one to give the odds-on winner a race over C&D (soft) in late March; may need to take another step forward here but that's quite feasible.
Bought for £60,000 after finishing an 11l second to the classy Mydaddypaddy in a Huntingdon bumper last March; only returned this February when beaten a short-head here by a Russell/Scudamore horse with potential; now goes over hurdles.
