Coral Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race)

Looked promising when winning maiden hurdle at Southwell (2m) in December and novice hurdle at Newcastle (2m1f, also good to soft) last month; however, pulled up on handicap debut at Haydock (2m5f, good) on Wednesday.

Fourth in this last year (good to soft) and he comfortably made all at Warwick (2m5f, heavy) in February; pulled up at Fontwell 15 days later but that was a Grade 2; could make a bold bid back in a handicap.

Improved form since this hood went on, comfortably defying a penalty in novice hurdle at Down Royal (2m1f, soft) in January before respectable efforts in 2m Listed/Grade 3 races; however, further improvement is needed back in a handicap and he has to prove his stamina.

Easily made all in this last year when 5lb higher and he's one to watch in the betting; however, he's struggled for form over fences/hurdles since winning a novice chase at Kelso in December.

Improved in this tongue-tie in the winter, winning two handicaps (2m3f, soft), and he may well have completed a hat-trick but for a final-flight mistake in a novice at Newbury (2m4f, good to soft) four weeks ago; this smooth-travelling sort could have more left in the tank; strong claims.
