Tribute Handicap Hurdle

Off the mark at Musselburgh (3m, good to soft) in his third handicap, before two creditable efforts when finding one too good; the step up trip could eke out further progress, especially if the cheekpieces prove a positive addition.

Five-time hurdle winner who hasn't looked like adding to that on recent efforts, although latest was more encouraging over C&D; well treated on past form but needs to step up.

Has failed to build on early promise in maiden hurdles and made little impact switched to a handicap with cheekpieces added at Exeter (2m7f, good to soft) last month; more is needed to reverse the current trend and get his career back on track.

Ten-race maiden but, the Ffos Las blip in January aside, he's acquitted himself well in defeat this season and his recent form at staying distances has shown clear progress, taking another step forward at Hereford (3m2f, good) last time with the addition of cheekpieces, coping well with the quicker ground; leading contender.

Has more wins over fences, most recently at Exeter (3m, good to soft) last month under Ciaran O'Shea; failed to fire 20 days later but he's effective in this sphere as shown when a close second at Chepstow in February; yet to win from a mark this high but should be firmly in the mix.
