Horslyx-For Horse's Health & Welfare Mares' Handicap Hurdle

Returned to form to cause 50-1 shock over C&D (soft; front pair clear) last month and is now 3-13 over hurdles; it's hard to predict whether she'll be in the right mood again but she won't mind if the ground dries out.

The form of her small-field maiden win in December doesn't amount to much but she bettered her low-key handicap debut when creditable fifth of 15 in valuable series final at Kelso (2m, good to soft) last month; commands respect in this easier race.

Well beaten in first two handicaps (2m4f, soft/heavy) but combination of better ground and first-time tongue-tie enabled significant improvement at Market Rasen (2m2f, good to soft) last month, where she kept on too strongly for the odds-on favourite; further progress is possible.

Won from the front at Newcastle (2m1f, good to soft; front pair clear) in February and was third under much more patient ride at Ayr (2m, soft) last month; may not want the ground to dry out here but otherwise she's likely to be on the premises again.

Out of form towards end of last year but returned from three-month break with pretty good fourth in first-time cheekpieces at Kelso (2m5f, good) 11 days ago, and it will be interesting to see whether this drop back in trip pays dividends.
