Boodles Anniversary 4-Y-O Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 1) (GBB Race)

Good Flat horse who won his first two starts over hurdles before a close second behind Minella Study in a Listed race at Wetherby (2m, good) in October; still has potential in this sphere but he was only 12th in the juvenile handicap at Cheltenham last month and needs to resume his progress in this tough race; visor added.

Promising second on debut at Hereford (2m, good) in November and he's unbeaten in three runs since; has looked a very willing front-runner but all his wins have been in small-field events and he has a lot to find in this Grade 1 contest.

Promise in his two Irish Flat maidens; justified favouritism in first three starts over hurdles but his limitations were exposed when a never-dangerous tenth in the Triumph at Cheltenham (50-1) last month; passed over.

Made it 4-6 over hurdles when returning to form with an all-the-way win in a Listed event over C&D (soft) in December; ran to a similar level when runner-up in the Scottish Triumph at Musselburgh in January but this is a much tougher test and he has plenty to find on the figures; cheekpieces added.

Untroubled to win sole start in France and scored in good style at Kempton (2m, good) and Cheltenham (Grade 2) in first two runs for Dan Skelton; well backed into 5-1 when runner-up in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham (2m1f, soft) last month, when he travelled smoothly for a long way before keeping on well to edge out Minella Study in the battle for second; has leading claims on that form and he should be unfazed by this return to a sharper track.
