12yo whose career highlight came when winning the Tingle Creek in 2022; showed he retains considerable spark when winning Grade 2 at Kempton (2m4f, good) this January; he may prefer a longer trip than this nowadays but he's a leading player nevertheless now back in a handicap.
Made it 5-9 over fences with convincing win at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good) last May; pulled up on sole run since, at Ascot in December, but the good to soft ground may not have suited; second in this last year; could go well.
Capitalised on the drop back in trip to win at Huntingdon (2m, heavy) in February and followed up at Kempton (2m2f, good); he's 7lb higher than last time and in a hotter race, but did it very nicely and this 6yo novice is now 3-6 over fences; could still have more to offer and he's respected.
His jumping has been an issue this season and he was soundly beaten at Newbury last time; however, two starts ago he was a close second of four there (2m, good to soft) and he has a good record at this track; might not be far away if finding some fluency.
Made all at Sedgefield (2m3f, good to soft) on Boxing Day on fourth chase start and his good form has continued when third on both runs since (2m4f, soft/good to soft); this drop back in trip is worth a go and further improvement is possible, but he needs to be better than ever from 4lb wrong.
