The going is Heavy.
Half-brother to smart (150-rated) hurdler Mystical Power, the pair out of Champion Hurdle winner Annie Power; odds-on when winning opening three starts, in Punchestown bumper and novice hurdles at the festival meetings at Galway and Listowel; contrasting ground conditions on return last month, keen and weakened tamely two out in Grade 1 novice at DRF on heavy; down in grade but still has questions to answer on this ground (drying weather forecast should suit).
Both wins have been at Down Royal, notably in first-time hood when ready success in rated novice in January (soft); last of four however following month in steadily-run Punchestown Listed novice maiden in November (8l off runner-up Lazare De Star) on softer ground; good bit to find here and ground remains a concern.
Three Flat turf wins, including a Leopardstown premier handicap on heavy; has taken well to hurdling, winning Down Royal maiden and just denied in Grade 2 Royal Bond at Fairyhouse; DRF fifth at Grade 1 level wasn't a bad effort either; skips the Supreme for this and sets the standard.
Bought for 190,000euros after a second in a point-to-point; successful on second attempt hurdling in 2m5f Leopardstown maiden at Christmas and better form (albeit beaten at odds-on each time) when runner-up since in 2m novices at Naas and Punchestown, latter occasion in a first-time hood when clear of remainder when going down by a head on heavy; definite contender again but more needed.
Out of an unraced half-sister to Champion Hurdle winner Binocular; overcame inexperience to win Thurles bumper a year ago (good) but flopped in Grade 2 Aintree bumper following month; unseated at the first on hurdling debut at Thurles in November and following month looked set to score (clear of subsequent Grade 2 winner Kazansky) when falling at the last in Cork maiden (soft-to-heavy); remains a potentially smart sort, could go well.
