Midnite: Built For 2026 Not 2006 Handicap

C&D winner last February; back to winning ways with a front-running 6f win at Lingfield in December; not quite so good twice since and he needs the 11-week break to have freshened him up.

Recorded an RPR of 103 on his seasonal return last April but the wheels have come off since; went off quickly and didn't get home in a 6f handicap at Kempton three weeks ago (blinkered first time); returns to 5f and things might click again soon.

He was returning from a 167-day break when third over C&D two weeks ago; Billy Loughnane retains the ride and he is one to take seriously.

Won four turf handicaps in the second half of 2025, including a ready win at Yarmouth when last seen in October; up 5lb, raised in class and returning from 162 days off so it is easy enough to look elsewhere.

He has two impressive C&D wins on his record this winter; not at his best on his last two starts but he's not an easy horse to pass if breaking on terms; needs another personal best but it is not out of the question.
