Midnite Ain't Your Grandad's Bookie Handicap

Sprung a 40-1 surprise on his stable debut at Southwell (6f) in November; held in three runs since but those were all creditable efforts including a close third at Southwell last month; had wind surgery since and he's respected off only 1lb higher than last time.

Made it 5-11 on AW when landing a Class 4 handicap at Chelmsford (6f, Polytrack) last month; only 2lb higher here but he's not easy to predict and needs to bounce back after a disappointing run at Kempton last time.

Completed his remarkable eight-timer at Southwell (1m) last month but he's comes up short since and looked tapped for speed when dropped back to 6f at Newcastle 11 days ago; that wasn't a bad effort but he's never won over this trip and others looker stronger.

Record is only 1-14 but he's on a reduced mark and returned after 233 days off with a creditable fourth over C&D last month; should benefit from that run and it wouldn't be a surprise if he made a bold bid.

1-13 for Eve Johnson Houghton, the win coming in a Kempton novice (6f, Polytrack) last March; reappeared with a respectable effort on her stable debut at Southwell last month but she needs to build on that and this is her first run at this track.
