Stacks of minor honours and his second in a Doncaster maiden last time, after 101 days off, was one of his best efforts; another was in November on his only go at about 2m6f; the lack of a win is a touch disconcerting, though.

Won easily this winter over about 3m on good to soft at Newcastle and Musselburgh; fourth off revised mark at Market Rasen (2m4f, soft) was another good effort but tailed off at Musselburgh 11 days ago when most of the hurdles were omitted; needs to resume improvement in first-time cheekpieces.

Won maiden at Downpatrick (2m6f, good) last August; tough task in Listed novice in October on final run for Stuart Crawford, before sold for £26,000 and tailing off when 150-1 for stable/handicap debut at Wetherby (3m, good to soft) two weeks ago; may have needed that run but a dramatic turnaround is needed.

Showed ability on first two starts (here on second occasion) before sticking at it to grab a 2l win in maiden at Haydock (2m5f, good to soft) 26 days ago; that win came only after a wide-margin leader fell two out but this 6yo shaped nonetheless as though he has a future as a stayer; with further improvement likely, therefore, he's in with a shot on this handicap debut.

Soundly beaten trying 3m on penultimate outing; best form on starts either side when taking minor handicap honours at Wetherby (2m4f, soft) and Kelso (extended 2m6f, heavy) and those give him place claims.
