Barrie Wells Box4Kids Novices' Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race)

Soft-ground bumper winner who showed plenty of ability on first three hurdle starts (two at about 2m4f) before a poor show on handicap debut at Wincanton (9-1) last time; needs to rebound and also to find improvement over this new trip; others have a bit less to prove.

Won Worcester novice (good) last May; contested handicaps in her five starts since, twice a flop but runner-up in the other three, including when upped to 3m at Haydock (good to soft) on latest outing; considered each-way.

Two wins over 2m4f on good ground at Worcester (maiden/handicap) in the autumn and creditable fourth at Aintree (3m, soft) in December when his jumping lacked fluency and he didn't see the trip out that well; disputed favouritism at Newbury (2m4f) last month but clipped heels and slipped up before halfway; cheekpieces go on and he needs to resume improvement, with Sean Bowen (on board for those wins) back.
