Yet to score over hurdles or fences for his current yard and comes here having been well below par on last two starts, only tenth in 3m1f Catterick handicap chase in December; lots more is needed after a break.

On the up since fitted with cheekpieces and he readily got off the mark in 2m4f handicap at Musselburgh last month; hiked up 9lb but he seems sure to go well if his stamina holds out over this longer trip.

Runner-up in a point but he has shown very little since sent over hurdles, beating one on his handicap debut at Newcastle (2m4f) in January; now goes chasing on the back of a wind operation.
