Reliable veteran who was in good form when last seen, finishing third on his last three runs; won this off 1lb lower last year and he's worth considering back from a break.

0-12 under rules but recent efforts over fences have been respectable, latest when a 3.25l third of six at Taunton (2m, good); back up 5lb which will likely make him vulnerable for the win, but he shouldn't be far away.

Came very close to a first win in seven years when narrowly denied at Huntingdon (2m, good) seven days ago; can race keenly and unlikely to get an easy lead here, but worth considering if reproducing that effort off the same mark.

C&D winner in November and ran well when second at Newcastle (2m, good to soft) 11 days later; looked the likeliest winner before unseating late at Taunton in December and now needs to bounce back from a disappointing run at Fontwell on Boxing Day (jumped right); tough mark but remains of interest with Sean Bowen booked.

Well beaten in three runs over hurdles (2m-2m3f) and finished a 38l fourth of five on last month's chase/handicap debut at Ffos Las (2m, heavy); may do better in time but others have more obvious claims.
