Front runner who has had a break since a poor final run; that did extend his losing sequence over fences to ten but he's threatened on occasions, as when second here in November off 2lb higher; trip/ground fine.

Lightly raced maiden; two good runs after wind surgery, especially last time when going down by only 2l at Plumpton (2m1f, soft); ran well in a bumper on this sort of ground.

Made a winning handicap/chasing debut at Kelso in November (2m1f, soft) and was then second of four on good ground; it was heavy when he pulled up and then, with a hood replaced by cheekpieces, he got back on track with another second over hurdles at this track; should be involved.

Won on his chase/stable debut at Catterick (by 4.5l; 1m7f, good to soft) and bumped into a big improver back there 20 days ago (on good); seriously considered off the same mark.

Can't make much of a case on his form but he is very lightly raced and was noticeably short in the betting (100-30) when well held on last week's stable debut at Ffos Las (2m3f, soft; second chase run); perhaps he'll enjoy this drier surface.
