Never got involved when eighth of 11 on his stable debut at Southwell (1m4f, Tapeta) a month ago; dual hurdle winner but didn't sign off for previous yard in much form, over hurdles or fences.

Back-to-back wins at this sort of trip in November on good to soft; fell early when favourite next time and it was his first run on soft when tailed off at Huntingdon; on this ground and with cheekpieces added, he's one to consider.

Failed to fire last time but had been runner-up in his three previous races and Danny McMenamin takes over from a 10lb claimer; this veteran isn't without hope as trip/ground will be fine.
