Back to winning ways in a C&D handicap three weeks ago, strong at the finish and having more in hand of Sports Coach than the 0.5l margin suggests; 4lb higher today but his record at this track means he has to be taken seriously.

On a losing run but tumbled down the weights and he has four C&D wins on his CV; no surprise to see him leave January's reappearance (6f; first run after wind surgery) well behind under these conditions.

The winner of three handicaps in 2025, the latest at Pontefract off a 2lb higher mark; absent for 145 days and of even greater concern is the absence of the visor that has been worn for each of his nine wins.

He was returning from a 195-day absence when second to Master Of My Fate over C&D three weeks ago, keeping on steadily; 3lb better off with that rival today but it may not be sufficient to turn the tables.
