He was weakening when falling in a small field at Bangor (2m4f, soft) but there were signs of returning to form and he's very well handicapped now.

Not overly consistent and can make mistakes, as was the case when the clear leader for a long way over 2m7f here a month ago (soft; fine on good to soft); that was a good run all things considered and won't mind coming back in distance.

He wasn't in the best form coming into this race last year (good to soft), yet he battled hard for a narrow win and then followed up by 12l at Chepstow (good); only 2lb higher than for the latter win and could very easily stage a revival.

Not out of first two in four runs for this yard and he broke the track record at Taunton last month (2m5f, good to soft) when returning from a break in first-time cheekpieces; made all, won readily and may have got off lightly with 7lb.

Drying ground asks a question of her but this dual chase winner in France was seeing British fences for the first time when leading late on at Ludlow (2m4f, soft); that was a useful little race and a 6lb rise might not be too damaging.
