Off the mark over hurdles at the third attempt at Ayr (2m, soft) in January and improved again when returning to winning ways at Newcastle (2m4f, good to soft) recently having been upped in trip in a first-time hood (retained); unexposed at this distance and he's respected on handicap debut.

Better could have been expected in a maiden at Ayr last time but prior to that he was second of 12 over this C&D (good to soft) on his handicap debut, and he can be in the mix if returning to form.

Second at Newcastle (2m4f, good to soft) in January and again ran well when third there (2m4f, soft) 12 days later; reportedly never travelling when well beaten in first-time cheekpieces at Catterick (3m1f, soft) last month, but not written off in first-time tongue-tie/visor on handicap debut.

Lame when pulled up on last month's handicap debut at Kelso (2m6f, heavy); won on hurdle debut at Catterick (2m3f, good to soft) in December before no match for two useful sorts there (2m3f, good to soft); could bounce back with good run in first-time cheekpieces now back on better ground.

Best performance yet when the only one to give the odds-on winner a race in Ayr novice (2m, soft) last month; finished close-up in good-ground bumper; on that latest evidence he may well have potential off his opening mark.
