Won handicap hurdle debut at Chepstow (2m3f, good) at end of last season; launched chasing career with two thirds in the autumn (2m5f/2m7f, good) but he's struggled in his last two runs; has quite a bit to prove again and is untried at this trip.

Inconsistent eight-race maiden but he's on a reduced mark and made a respectable chase debut when runner-up over C&D (heavy) last month; made some mistakes and was no match for the winner but should benefit from that experience and this return to quicker ground should be fine; respected.

Made a promising start over fences when runner-up here (2m5f, good to soft) in December but he flopped when favourite at Warwick (2m4f) later that month; still has low mileage but he's been up and down so far and needs to bounce back at this new trip.

Chase and dual hurdle winner, all at around 3m on good and good to soft ground; well handicapped on his close fourth at Windsor in November but he's been well held in five subsequent runs, including when back over hurdles at Catterick last time; losing run is now up to 11 and others are preferred.
