Oddschecker Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race)

0-8 in points; suffered heavy defeat when 100-1 for last week's stable/hurdle debut at Taunton (2m, good); not the most obvious answer.

Showed some ability when third of six in Lingfield (AW) bumper in December, his second start, but was soundly beaten on recent stable/hurdle debut at Hereford (2m3f, good).

Displayed improvement when creditable third in Wincanton maiden (1m7f, soft) in December, his third start over hurdles, and subsequent fourth in good Taunton handicap (2m, heavy) was better than bare form suggests (nearly lost jockey after penultimate-flight error); doesn't help himself by racing too freely but has a good chance here.

Joined Kerry Lee after quite promising Irish point third last April (yielding ground) but was beaten a long way on rules debut at Ludlow (2m5f, good to soft) in January; drops in trip with tongue-tie added here.

Third against useful rivals on both hurdling starts, latterly behind recent Supreme Novices' runner-up Sober Glory at Newbury (2m, good to soft) two months ago; ideally needs to learn to settle better but he's in calmer waters here; leading contender.
