Virgin Bet A Good Bet Handicap Hurdle (GBB Race)

Has won maiden and introductory hurdles; running well either side of one chase run and he was the only one to pose any threat to a progressive type over C&D (good to soft; Fasol fourth and held) last month; up 2lb to a career-high mark but still early days in handicaps; not far away.

Four wins over hurdles and fences at up to 2m5f (good and good to soft) in 2025 but he was pulled up over fences in February and finished remote back hurdling at Newbury recently; others have less to prove this time.

Two hurdle wins include a Grade 2 novice and he wasn't too far away in a Grade 1 at Aintree (2m4f, good to soft) in April 2022; seen only once since, when third on handicap debut at Newbury in late 2023, but 6lb lower now and worth a market check; was ready to run in December.

Six wins in 2024 but out of luck since; only third in this race last year but a sterling effort when runner-up in the Lanzarote over C&D in January off this mark and he'll be better off back at this trip after the race didn't pan out for him at Musselburgh (3m) since; respected.

Just one win but has been placed at Listed level and her close second in a Newbury handicap (about 2m4f, good) last March was solid form, especially after badly hampered early and didn't get the best of passages when trying to challenge; should come on for her recent return at Warwick where heavy ground probably wasn't ideal and can go well back in a handicap.
