Heritage Drives The Goings Always Good Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race)

Belied 200-1 odds when respectable fifth on hurdle debut here (2m4f, good to soft) last month but did not achieve a great deal when well-held third of four over that trip a fortnight later; drops back in trip with cheekpieces added today; improvement required.

In contention before final-fence fall on debut in Irish maiden point (3m, yielding) last February, and also showed promise on first two rules starts, more recently when running well for a long way in Wetherby novice hurdle (2m, soft) in January; has possibilites if combination of subsequent wind op and first-time tongue-tie aids his finishing effort.

Won slow-ground French bumper in October 2024 and was placed on hurdling debut a few weeks later (2m1f, heavy); well beaten when reappearing for new stable in Hereford maiden (2m, good to soft) in December but had an excuse (bled from the nose) and might fare better here; hood now added.

Useful Flat racer who kept on for third over hurdles at Wetherby (2m, soft) in December; well beaten twice since but had excuses last time (heavy ground; finished lame) and will be dangerous here if back on song; cheekpieces left off this time.

Won Hexham bumper (good to soft) on rules debut last June and was the only one to give highly promising rival any sort of race before last-flight fall on hurdling debut at Carlisle (2m1f, soft) in December; well beaten when back at Carlisle for a good race last month but positives can still be drawn from that performance, and he has each-way claims at least here.
