Sri Lanka Wonder Of Asia Handicap (GBBplus Race)

Dual-purpose performer who is 3-9 on AW and his last win was off 3lb lower at Wolverhampton (1m6f) last July; returned to the Flat with an encouraging effort at Southwell (2m) in December but was never dangerous in that race and his last win over this trip was in 2022; has some work to do.

Won twice in 2024, including over 1m4f on Tapeta; had only five runs last year but he went close on two occasions, including in a Class 2 at Southwell (1m4f) in November; 2lb higher on his return but he hit a personal best last time and he's a key player on this drop back in grade.

Returned after almost two years off with a game win over 1m4f at Wolverhampton (12-1) last month; held in fourth in his follow-up bid at Lingfield but he wasn't beaten far and that another good effort in a valuable handicap; has raced prominently in his last two runs and he should go well again on this drop back in grade.

Won at Chelmsford (1m2f) and Wolverhampton (9.4f) in December and was good second in his hat-trick bid at Newcastle; may still have some room to manoeuvre off this mark but he struggled in the snow at St Moritz last time and he still has stamina to prove at this trip.

Most of his wins have been at 1m but he made it 6-11 at Kempton when swooping late for a last-gasp win over 1m3f in January; up 2lb but he remains well handicapped on his best form and is strongly respected back up in trip.
