BetMGM Juvenile Hurdle (GBB Race)

Unplaced all starts on Flat for Jack Channon but has shown an aptitude for hurdling, improving on debut form when runner-up to a promising type at Kempton (2m, good) just after Christmas; may progress further.

Showed fairly useful level of form in four Flat runs and made promising start over hurdles when 9l third of ten at Newbury (2m, good to soft) last month, keeping on well having still had plenty to do when not fluent two out; open to lots of improvement; big player in first-time tongue-strap.

Unplaced in three Flat outings for Johnny Murtagh; made some of the running but was weakening when falling two out in novice at Limerick (2m, heavy; 100-1) on hurdling debut; others appeal more.

Signed off on the Flat in Ireland with 1m6f win last summer but showed only modest form on first two hurdling starts; was bumped and fell at first hurdle last time; fair bit to prove.

2-14 on the Flat in France, winning over 11.5f and 1m4f, including on soft ground; changed hands for 38,000euros in November; new stable has a more than respectable strike-rate; interesting recruit to hurdling.
