Competitive off this sort of mark at Cheltenham (3m+) last season but not on his first two starts this campaign and he was never dangerous at Ascot on third attempt; has worn cheekpieces for over two years but now switches to first-time visor in revival bid; also dropped in class.

Winner of the Durham National and Southern National in 2023 and scored three times in summer 2024; runner-up twice last May but the lesser displays since are a worry; this is his lowest mark since October 2023 and connections turn to cheekpieces.

Below par at Fontwell last time and this is his cross-country debut; however, he ran well over regulation fences here (3m1f, good to soft) two starts ago and has the same mark as when winning the Southern National at Fontwell (extended 3m3f, good) last November; not discounted.
