Golf Inn Prestwick For The Ayr Stayers Trophy Handicap Hurdle (Challenger Stayers Hdl Series Qual)

Ran a mighty race from the front when third of 17 in hot handicap hurdle at Haydock (3m, good to soft) on reappearance; also effective on soft; fell on chase debut since and capable of very bold bid back hurdling.

Two wins last term and reappeared with another at Lingfield (2m7f, good to soft) in November; no match for first two when third at Sandown (2m7f, soft) since but those were progressive rivals and this may take less winning.

Merely fifth on his two chase starts this season but in between he was second over hurdles over this C&D (soft), sandwiched by a winner/third who have both won since; could have a part to play now back hurdling.

Bolted up on stable debut at Kelso (2m5f, good to soft) in November and came clear with a progressive winner there (extended 2m6f, soft) next time; another 5lb higher today but clearly thriving; respected.

Hurdle/chase winner for Henry de Bromhead but tailed off in June 2022 on final run for that yard, prior to very long absence; pulled up for this stable on his two starts last year and very hard to fancy.
