Won off 4lb higher at Haydock (2m4f, heavy) in December 2023 but he's failed to complete in four of his eight starts since and was tailed off at Chepstow 25 days ago; has plenty to prove and he's untried at this trip.

Made it 3-7 over fences when completing a hat-trick at Southwell (2m4f, good to soft) in February; mixed results in four subsequent runs but he ran respectably over 2m6f at Lingfield (fourth of ten) last month; has claims if he can build on that and he looks worth another try at this trip.

Three-time hurdle winner who is unexposed over fences; never really got into a rhythm when third at Wetherby (3m, soft) 25 days ago but he wasn't beaten far and that was behind a well-handicapped rival; should have more to offer in this sphere and he could be a big factor, particularly if he can jump with more fluency.

Well handicapped on old chase form but last win was 14 months ago and he's been pulled up in three of his last five runs including at Ascot (3m5f, good) last month; this is a big drop back in trip and grade but he needs a major revival.
