Pickardstown Handicap Chase

A winner over hurdles and over fences with both wins coming around here (including this race last year); fell at the sixth back here in May; well beaten at Wexford before tailed off at Killarney when last seen (2m1f, good); brings his best here; chance.

Got fourth chase win by a head at Thurles in February off 113 (2m, good) but has been struggling since then; fell mid-race at Listowel and was tailed off at Galway on Tuesday.

A specialist around here with five of his 11 wins under rules coming at the track (three of them chasing); beat Lady Rose Hackett by 0.75l over C&D on penultimate start; 3lb worse off with that rival now and was tailed off at Ballinrobe last time; always gives his best around here but others preferred.

Three-time winner on the Flat and has one win over hurdles but 0-8 in the chasing department; has been running on the Flat recently and best of those efforts came here when a 1l second (2m, good to yielding); has not exhibited fluent jumping in this sphere but if getting that together he is not ruled out.

Comfortable handicap hurdle winner here in May (2m, good to yielding) and followed up with second chasing success at Tipperary off 88 (2m, yielding); underwhelming fourth at Wexford when sent off a shade of odds-on at Wexford on penultimate but went close here back over hurdles last time when beaten 0.5l off 98 (2m, good); in the mix.
