Margaret Macklam Memorial Nursery Handicap

Landed a nursery on his turf/handicap debut at Yarmouth (5f, good to soft) in July with first-time visor (retained since) and followed up in a match at Bath (5f, firm) seven days later; has not been in the same form in his three starts since and still to prove he is as effective on AW.

Runner-up in three novice events but has been below that form in three nurseries since; handicapper has dropped him another 3lb and he sports first-time tongue-tie, with first-time visor replacing the cheekpieces worn on last two starts; possibilities if able to reproduce his earlier form.

Third in a couple of contests, latest when beaten half a length over C&D ten days ago on nursery debut; runs off same mark and holds place claims at least.

Got off the mark on AW debut at Chelmsford (6f) in June and had excuses on next two starts (trip/ground) but she disappointed when only seventh of nine in a Nottingham nursery (6f, good) in August; withdrawn when refusing to enter the stalls at Bath two weeks ago and now has questions to answer back but returns to AW.

Almost broke her duck when beaten a neck on her nursery debut over C&D ten days ago, with Thornaby Annie a place back; there should be little between them on revised terms.
