Second over 1m here in January (stable debut) before an easy win at Chantilly three weeks later (9.5f, AW); he hasn't beaten a rival in three turf runs since, however, and there are reservations despite returning to AW and dropping in class with a tongue-tie returning.

Won his first two starts for James Owen in the spring and he has run a string of good races in defeat since; no obvious reason why he won't make another bold bid.

Not added to his debut success in 17 runs since but he went close on AW in the spring and returned to form with a good third at Sandown (1m2f, soft) six weeks ago; steps up to 1m3f for the first time and with cheekpieces added; one to consider.

Two wins this summer, at Salisbury in July (1m2f, good to firm) and over C&D 19 days ago; hit with a 5lb rise but still feasibly weighted.

Looked an exciting prospect earlier in the year and he was sent off at just 13-2 for the King George V at Royal Ascot; didn't get home over 1m4f on that occasion and was subsequently gelded; not at his best at either York or Pontefract last month but he drops in class and, perhaps crucially, returns to the AW; leading contender.
