Betfair Plays Different Handicap

Didn't run badly when fifth of ten at Kempton (1m) last week, his second start after a break, but this regressive 6yo is now 0-16 on AW.

Six-race maiden with a tendency to race too freely; seemed to have too much use made of him when tried in a visor (now removed) over 1m2f at Lingfield last month but he ran well for a long way and this drop in trip could be a good move.

Bounced back to form to open account with clearcut 7f win here last month, her tenth start; it's hard to predict whether she'll build on that success but a 4lb rise does not seem excessive and she should be okay back at 1m.

Back to form to land a gamble in 1m Lingfield classified in February and was placed in a handicap over that C&D in August; didn't really fire over 7f there last time but still considered in this modest race.

0-14 when based in Ireland, signing off with down-the-field run on soft ground last month; makes stable debut from a good mark, though, and worth keeping an eye on in the betting; headgear (worn last six starts) discarded.
