Both wins on Lingfield Polytrack, more recently benefiting from a front-running ride (1m5f) last month in first-time blinkers, but he was smothered a fair way out on Tapeta debut at Southwell; needs to show this surface suits now visored and eased in grade.

Won two 1m4f handicaps at Southwell in late 2024 but he wasn't himself there in January and lack of fitness and/or stamina found him out over 1m6f there 13 days ago, when back from a break; weights chance, just 1lb higher than his latest win.

Six wins in early 2025 included two over C&D; handicapper seemed to get his teeth into him after but he was freshened by a short break when winning a shade cosily at Lingfield in August; poor over hurdles since (he had won a maiden in May) but not dismissed back on Tapeta.

Five of six AW wins have come on this track but none beyond about 1m1f and he wasn't getting any closer to ending a losing run when last seen over 1m4f in the spring; does at least continue to slide down the weights.

Four course wins, three under Billy Loughnane who rides for first time since November; has won at 2m so will benefit from the likely strong pace at this trip today; not ruled out but this is competitive.
