Positive Change Plate Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

On a roll over fences since cheekpieces were refitted, winning five times (2m5f-3m2f) between June and September; stiffer task when giving weight in a useful novice event at Chepstow on Friday but, after a bad mistake in the back straight, he looked set to win again only to fall at the final fence; he keeps on improving but whether he's brought out again so quickly remains to be seen.

Like stablemate King Of Answers, he's a lightly raced 6yo who can improve on his hurdles form now sent over fences; had just three attempts over hurdles and he faced a stiff task when sixth in a Listed race at Perth in April; his win came over 2m4f on soft; could be anything.

Had a stop-start 2024-25 campaign over hurdles but finished with a good second of 12 at Perth (3m2f, good to soft) in April; still relatively lightly raced and bred to make a chaser; one of two key players for the Russell/Scudamore stable.

Four wins include a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in April 2023 and a 2m handicap hurdle here last autumn; posted a fine fourth of seven at Perth (2m4f, good to soft) to conclude last season and, with his good record fresh a bonus, he's a fascinating contender on chasing debut.

Like so many from his yard he's had an excellent summer and early-autumn, notching a career best when winning at Perth (2m4f, good to soft) 16 days ago; up another 4lb but thriving and has solid claims once more.
